In the mean time to sew from a rag concern as a kind of art. Museum expositions of USA, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia contain the whole collections of the products executed in style of scrappy techniques - Patchwork. There is also collection in the All-Russia museum arts and crafts and a folk art.

English name "patchwork" (scrappy sewing), and "quilt" (quilted products) have appeared in modern Russia more recently when Russian compatriots in cities got to know about this time of art from foreigners. Many people even considered that patchwork creativity in Russia never existed. It mismatches the reality. Products in which the basic patterns applied in scrappy sewing are reflected all are stored in the State Russian museum, many products trimmed by scrappy application are stored in collections of the Russian ethnographic museum, unusual quilts of XVIII century are stored and in the Historical museum in Moscow.
